among outstanding students at the Deputy Commissioner’s Office on Thursday.
According to a spokesperson for the DC office here, a total of 21 talented male and female students
belonging to minority communities received scholarship cheques worth Rs1.5 million collectively.
The ceremony was attended by Deputy Commissioner Hussain Ahmed Raza Chaudhry, Additional Deputy Commissioner Headquarters Arshad Wattoo and minority community leader Mushtaq Gill was also present at the ceremony.
Speaking on the occasion, Shoaib Mirza said the scholarships were recognition of the students’ hard work, dedication and academic excellence, adding that Punjab government was committed to providing equal opportunities to talented students from all segments of society, including minority communities, enabling them to realize their potential and contribute to national development.
