ISLAMABAD, Jan 28 (APP):Two Commodores of Pakistan Navy including Javed Zia and Armaghan Ahmad have been promoted to the rank of Rear Admiral.
Rear Admiral Javed Zia was commissioned in Weapon Engineering Branch of Pakistan Navy in 1994. The Flag Officer is a graduate of Pakistan Navy War College Lahore, National Defence University Islamabad and qualified Master of Science in Electrical Engineering from National University of Sciences and Technology (NUST), said a press release issued by Directorate General Public Relations (Pak Navy).
During his illustrious Naval career the officer has served on various key appointments. Currently, the admiral is serving as Deputy Chief of Naval Staff (Materiel) at Naval Headquarters Islamabad.
Rear Admiral Armaghan Ahmad was commissioned in Marine Engineering Branch of Pakistan Navy in 1994. The Flag Officer is a graduate of Pakistan Navy War College Lahore and National Defence University Islamabad.
He did his Master of Science in Manufacturing System Engineering & Management from NUST. The officer has an illustrious service career with vast experience of serving on key appointments. He is currently serving as Managing Director Dockyard (Karachi).
In recognition of their meritorious services, the Flag Officers have been awarded Sitara-i-Imtiaz (Military).
