2-day workshop on media interaction for senior officers

LAHORE, Apr 30 (APP):A two-day capacity-building workshop on “Strategic Communication & Media Engagement” for the 110th Batch of National Management College (NMC) concluded at the National School of Public Policy (NSPP), here on Tuesday.
The training workshop was organised by the Pakistan Peace Collective (PPC), a research and communication project of the Ministry of Information & Broadcasting.
The workshop aimed at refining the skills and understanding of the participants about the significance of the media interaction during crisis situations.
As many as 55 senior government officers attended the workshop.
The sessions on the concluding day of the training were designed to sensitise the participants about the Emerging Trends & Challenges in the use of Digital Media by identifying fake news.
Dr Shujat Ali, Dean NMC, and Mian Shabbir Anwer, chief executive officer (CEO) PPC, elaborated the significance of the training workshop in refining the skills of the participants to cooperate with the media during any crisis situation.
The training module for the workshop was designed to enhance the capacity of the government officials, utilising appropriate media management techniques and language set to promote public resilience against violent extremism.
