ISLAMABAD, Oct 24 (APP):The Pakistan Advanced Materials Forum (PAMF) has announced that the 19th International Symposium on Advanced Materials (ISAM-2025) will take place from October 27-31 at the National Centre for Physics (NCP).
Since its inception in 1989, ISAM has evolved into one of the region’s most respected scientific gatherings, fostering collaboration, innovation, and progress in materials science and engineering. The 2025 edition will focus on how advanced materials can drive Pakistan’s transition from a resource-based economy to one powered by knowledge, innovation, and high technology.
The five-day symposium will bring together scientists, engineers, researchers, and industry professionals from across the world to exchange ideas and showcase cutting-edge developments in materials engineering-a discipline crucial to the growth of sectors such as aerospace, clean energy, defense, electronics, and advanced manufacturing.
Aligned with Pakistan’s national agenda for industrial modernization and technological self-reliance, ISAM-2025 will feature over 20 international speakers and researchers from Russia, Malaysia, China, Indonesia, Turkey, and Norway, along with more than 60 oral and 40 poster presentations.
The discussions will cover frontier topics including artificial intelligence in materials research, additive manufacturing, nanotechnology, and advanced materials characterization.
“The field of materials science holds the key to future industrial competitiveness,” said a PAMF spokesperson.
“From clean energy to defense technologies, every innovation begins with better materials. ISAM serves as a bridge between academia, research, and industry—creating partnerships that will shape Pakistan’s scientific and economic future.”
Participants will also visit state-of-the-art research facilities at NCP, featuring scanning electron microscopes, X-ray diffractometers, and other high-precision instruments, highlighting Pakistan’s growing capacity for world-class research and innovation.
Recognized as South and Southeast Asia’s leading scientific forum, ISAM continues to strengthen international collaborations and promote the global exchange of scientific knowledge.
The 2025 symposium is expected to inspire innovation, encourage research commercialization, and contribute to a technologically empowered future for Pakistan and its international partners.
