ISLAMABAD, Feb 22 (APP): Islamabad Capital Territory (ICT) Police intensified their crackdown against criminal elements, arresting multiple suspects and recovering drugs and weapons from different areas of the federal capital.
An official told APP on Sunday that police teams from Ramna, Sangjani, Noon, Koral, Bhara Kahu and Phulgran police stations arrested 11 accused involved in various criminal activities.
Police teams recovered 737 grams of ice, 560 grams of hashish, five pistols, two rifles, one gun and one Kalashnikov with ammunition from their possession. Cases have been registered against the accused and further investigations are underway.
Additionally, during a special campaign launched for the arrest of proclaimed offenders and absconders, police teams apprehended seven criminals.
Following the special directions of IGP Islamabad Syed Ali Nasir Rizvi, ICT Police continue their effective operations to curb crime and maintain peace in the federal capital.
SSP Operations Qazi Ali Raza reaffirmed that Islamabad Police remain committed to protecting the lives and property of citizens, emphasising that no elements would be allowed to disturb public peace.
