ISLAMABAD, Jan 20 (APP):Islamabad Capital Territory (ICT) Police have arrested 14 lawbreakers and seized narcotics and an illegal weapon during ongoing operations against criminal elements across the federal capital.
An official told APP on Tuesday that teams from ICT Police—including Margalla, Sangjani, Lohi Bher, Nilore and Phulgran police stations—arrested eight accused involved in various criminal activities. During these actions, police recovered 1,243 grams of ice, 1,068 grams of heroin, and a pistol with ammunition from the possession of the arrested suspects. Relevant cases have been registered, and further investigation is underway.
The official added that, in a parallel special campaign targeting proclaimed offenders and absconders, police teams arrested six more criminals from different areas of Islamabad.
Following the special directions of Inspector General of Police Syed Ali Nasir Rizvi, Islamabad Police continue indiscriminate action against crime to maintain peace and tranquility in the capital.
The police reaffirmed their commitment to safeguarding the lives and property of residents, stressing that no element will be allowed to disturb public order.
