ISLAMABAD, Sep 28 (APP): The district administration continued its daily operations across the city to ensure compliance with dengue prevention SOPs, resulting in the arrest of 13 people during an inspection led by the Assistant Commissioner (Saddar).
As part of ongoing efforts to prevent the spread of dengue, teams carried out inspections in different areas to identify locations that could support mosquito breeding, said the spokesman of ICT administration here.
During the operation, the Assistant Commissioner (Saddar) raided several sites where conditions were found to be contributing to the growth of dengue larvae.
Authorities took action against violations of dengue prevention guidelines and arrested 13 individuals, who were shifted to the local lockup for further legal proceedings.
The district administration said daily inspections and enforcement activities are being conducted throughout the city to ensure that dengue SOPs are being followed. Officials are checking residential, commercial and public areas to remove conditions that can lead to the breeding of dengue-carrying mosquitoes.
The administration urged citizens to fully cooperate with officials and strictly follow dengue prevention measures. Residents were requested to keep their surroundings clean, avoid the accumulation of stagnant water and ensure that places where water can collect are regularly checked and cleaned.
Officials said public cooperation is essential in controlling the spread of dengue and reducing the risk of infections. The district administration reiterated its appeal to citizens to follow dengue SOPs so that dengue can be eliminated from the city.
