At least 12 people were safely rescued after a fire broke out at Babar Plaza in F-8 Markaz on Tuesday, with no loss of life reported, according to the Capital Development Authority (CDA).

ISLAMABAD, Sep 01 (APP): At least 12 people were safely rescued after a fire broke out at Babar Plaza in F-8 Markaz on Tuesday, with no loss of life reported, according to the Capital Development Authority (CDA).
The CDA Fire and Emergency Services teams reached the site shortly after receiving information about the incident and launched firefighting and rescue operations.
Firefighters brought the blaze under control and prevented it from spreading further, while simultaneously carrying out a search and rescue operation inside the building.
According to the CDA, 12 people were evacuated from the plaza safely. No casualty was reported in the incident.
The authority said its firefighters and rescue personnel completed the operation despite difficult conditions and praised their prompt response.
The CDA administration said protection of citizens’ lives and property remained its priority and that its Fire and Emergency Services were fully equipped to respond to emergencies.
It also urged citizens to immediately inform the relevant fire and rescue services in case of fire or any other emergency and cooperate with rescue teams during relief operations.
