ISLAMABAD, Jul 31 (APP):Islamabad Capital Territory (ICT) Police on Thursday apprehended 12 drug traffickers during targeted operations conducted by Kohsar, Margalla, Shalimar, Golra, Noon, Khanna, and Kirpa police stations, recovering a substantial quantity of narcotics.
A public relations officer told APP that the police teams seized 12 kilograms of hashish, 4.37 kilograms of heroin, 2.361 kilograms of ice, and 32 bottles of liquor from the possession of the arrested individuals.
The operations were carried out under the special directives of Inspector General of Police (IGP) Islamabad Syed Ali Nasir Rizvi. FIRs have been registered, and comprehensive investigations are underway. Police are also pursuing facilitators linked to these networks.
Deputy Inspector General (DIG) of Police Islamabad Muhammad Jawad Tariq reaffirmed that the ICT Police would continue its crackdown against those involved in poisoning the youth through drug networks.
“No malicious elements will be allowed to destroy the future of our younger generation,” he added.
