Youth Affairs department observes Youm-e-Istehsal Kashmir across Khyber Pakhtunkhwa
PESHAWAR, Aug 05 (APP):Directorate of Youth Affairs Khyber Pakhtunkhwa, through its District Youth Offices in Battagram, Lower Kohistan, Kohat, Buner, Bannu and Lakki Marwat, in collaboration with the respective district administrations, educational institutions and local stakeholders, observed Youm-e-Istehsal Kashmir by organising seminars, awareness sessions, speech competitions and solidarity rallies across the province.
The programmes brought together government officials, students, teachers, youth volunteers, members of civil society, journalists and representatives of the business community to reaffirm Pakistan’s unwavering political, diplomatic and moral support for the people of Indian Illegally Occupied Jammu and Kashmir (IIOJK).
The province-wide observance reflected the KP government commitment to promoting civic awareness, national unity and responsible youth engagement while highlighting the significance of Youm-e-Istehsal Kashmir
In Lower Kohistan, students delivered speeches and tableau performances highlighting the sacrifices and resilience of the Kashmiri people.
Kohat hosted a commemorative programme at the District Council Hall followed by a solidarity rally and special prayers for peace and justice.
In Battagram, a ceremony at Government Centennial Model High School brought together government officials, students, teachers, journalists and members of civil society, followed by a solidarity rally led by the district administration.
Buner observed the day through a rally organised in collaboration with the University of Buner, where participants raised slogans in support of the Kashmiri people.
The District Youth Office Bannu organised a solidarity rally condemning the revocation of Articles 370 and 35A while reaffirming support for the Kashmiri people’s right to self-determination.
In Lakki Marwat, a speech competition and solidarity rally engaged students and youth in promoting awareness about peace, justice and the Kashmir issue.
Across all districts, participants reaffirmed Pakistan’s continued support for the Kashmiri people’s internationally recognised right to self-determination in accordance with international law and the relevant United Nations Security Council resolutions.
Director Youth Affairs Khyber Pakhtunkhwa, Abbas Khan Afridi, said the observance of Youm-e-Istehsal Kashmir reflected the Directorate’s commitment to promoting patriotism, civic responsibility and informed public discourse among young people.
He said the youth of Khyber Pakhtunkhwa had a vital role in fostering national unity, peace and justice through constructive engagement and responsible leadership.
He added that the Directorate would continue to organise programmes that strengthen democratic values, encourage civic participation and raise awareness of issues of national importance.
The Directorate of Youth Affairs Khyber Pakhtunkhwa reaffirmed its commitment to empowering young people through meaningful initiatives that promote national cohesion, social responsibility and active citizenship while expressing unwavering solidarity with the people of Indian Illegally Occupied Jammu and Kashmir.
