PESHAWAR, Oct 06 (APP):Water and Sanitation Service (WSSP) Peshawar’s drainage and clearance operations are underway across the city amidst rainfall.
In a press release issued here on Tuesday, WSSP spokesman states that teams were already on alert in anticipation of the rain forecast.
Operational staff were mobilized as soon as the rain began and the process of draining rainwater from various areas is ongoing.
WSSP teams are actively engaged in drainage and clearance operations at identified hotspots.
The operational, management, and supervisory staff are present in the field.
WSSP is cleaning manholes and drains alongside water drainage efforts while staff are working to drain water and maintain traffic flow on major thoroughfares.
Teams are taking immediate action in response to complaints regarding water accumulation, the statement added.
WSSP staff remain on alert in hotspots and low-lying areas.
General public is requested to call 1334 to report complaints.
