WSSC DIKhan fully prepared for Eid-ul-Azha 2026 with large-scale cleanliness operations: Chairman

The Water and Sanitation Services Company DIKhan (WSSC-DIKhan) has announced full preparedness for Eid-ul-Azha 2026 by unveiling a comprehensive sanitation and waste management plan aimed at ensuring cleanliness, public health, and efficient disposal of sacrificial waste across the district during the festive days.

DERA ISMAIL KHAN , May 26 (APP):The Water and Sanitation Services Company DIKhan (WSSC-DIKhan) has announced full preparedness for Eid-ul-Azha 2026 by unveiling a comprehensive sanitation and waste management plan aimed at ensuring cleanliness, public health, and efficient disposal of sacrificial waste across the district during the festive days.
Chairman Board of Directors of WSSC DIKhan, Naimatullah Khan Gandapur, said while talking in an interview with APP, that the company remained fully active to serve citizens and maintain a clean and healthy environment throughout the festival.
He said special cleanliness and public awareness campaigns had been accelerated ahead of Eid-ul-Azha under the directives of the Government of Khyber Pakhtunkhwa to ensure proper sanitation arrangements across the city and surrounding areas.
According to WSSC officials, the company has finalized a detailed operational plan covering all 13 union councils of the district. More than 450 sanitary workers and WSSC staff members have been deployed in day and night shifts under the supervision of 21 supervisors working under the Manager Operations. Over 150 waste collection points have also been established to facilitate timely disposal of sacrificial waste and maintain cleanliness standards during Eid days.
