PESHAWAR, Jun 16 (APP):At least three people including two women were shot dead over an alleged land dispute in Kandaray, Garhi Kapura area of Mardan, police informed on Tuesday.
The tragic incident took place inside a house, where heavy firing resulted in the deaths of two women, whose identities were not disclosed, along with a man named Ajmal. All three victims died on the scene.
Initial reports suggest that the killings stemmed from a long-standing land dispute that escalated into a violent attack.
According to Mardan Police, five suspects namely Bilal, Mubassir, Noor-ul-Basoor, Ali Zaman and Shah Fazal have been nominated in the case.
Police have launched an investigation and are pursuing further legal action.
Following the killings, a tense atmosphere has gripped the area. Police teams collected evidence from the crime scene and continue their investigation into the case.
