Tank police arrest five in anti-drug crackdown

TANK, Apr 24 (APP): The Tank police have stepped up their operations against drug dealers and criminal elements, arresting five individuals and recovering a large quantity of narcotics during recent actions.
According to police spokesman on Friday, acting on the instructions of District Police Officer Abdul Samad Khan, a team of City police station led by SHO Sher Afzal Khan under the supervision of Deputy Superintendent of Police City Circle Imran Khattak carried out a search and strike operation. During the raid, two suspects namely Sher Rehman and Munir Rehman, residents of Bannu, were arrested, and 2,350 grams of hashish was recovered from their possession.
In a separate action, two proclaimed offenders, Alamzeb and Ainullah, residents of Tank, were also taken into custody. Meanwhile, Sher Muhammad, a resident of Barah Khel, was arrested for providing shelter to a proclaimed offender.
District Police Officer Abdul Samad Khan appreciated the performance of the police teams and directed them to further intensify efforts against crime and drug trafficking in the area.
