PESHAWAR, Aug 15 (APP):Sidra Foundation has hosted a special ceremony at SOS Children’s Village Mangal in Abbottabad, to mark Pakistan’s 79th Independence Day, with a large number of children, teachers and other participants in attendance.
The ceremony featured national songs, speeches and various activities highlighting the significance of Independence Day. Participants expressed their love for the motherland and reaffirmed their commitment to national unity and solidarity.
Prominent journalist and media personality, Hamdullah Khan attended the ceremony as a special guest, said a press release issued here.
Speaking on the occasion, Chairman Sidra Foundation, Rehan Khan said promoting patriotism, national awareness and positive values among the younger generation was the need of the hour.
He said concerted efforts were needed to equip young people with a sense of responsibility and encourage them to play their role in the development and prosperity of the country.
Hamdullah Khan congratulated the children on Independence Day and said Pakistan was their shared homeland.
