PESHAWAR, Sep 14 (APP):The speakers at a daylong workshop organized by Fata University underlined the need for a balance nutrition diet and regular exercises to control blood pressure and avoid heart attacks.
The theme of the topic was “exercise, nutrition and healthy lifestyle” participated by faculty, academics, students, administrative and support staff in large numbers, says a press release.
The directorates of Quality Enhancement Cell (QEC) and Office of Research, Innovation and Commercialization (ORIC) jointly arranged the workshop to raise awareness about physical fitness, balanced nutrition, regular exercise and healthy living.
Muhammad Bilal Marwat, Assistant Director (Sports) at The University of Agriculture Peshawar, was the guest speaker.
He highlighted the importance of making exercise part of daily life, consuming a balanced and nutritious diet, and adopting healthy routines.
He said regular physical activity improves physical fitness while also contributing to mental well-being, energy levels and overall performance.
Speaking at the concluding session, FATA University Vice Chancellor Prof. Dr. Mohsin Nawaz said a healthy body forms the foundation of an active, successful and productive life.
He urged students, teachers and staff to give due importance to exercise and balanced nutrition, noting that physical and mental health directly influence academic and professional performance.
The vice chancellor appreciated the QEC and ORIC for organizing the workshop and said the university would continue such activities to promote the well-being and awareness of its students and employees.
He also presented commemorative shields to Muhammad Bilal Marwat in recognition of his participation and valuable guidance.
