A tragic road accident occurred on the Karakoram Highway when a motor car bearing registration number AFB-324, travelling from Gilgit to Rawalpindi, met with an accident at Tarees Banda in the jurisdiction of Patan police station, Lower Kohistan.
Six people died after car plunges into gorge on Karakoram Highway in Lower Kohistan

KOHISTAN, Jun 02 (APP):A tragic road accident occurred on the Karakoram Highway when a motor car bearing registration number AFB-324, travelling from Gilgit to Rawalpindi, met with an accident at Tarees Banda in the jurisdiction of Patan police station, Lower Kohistan.
According to Rescue 1122 officials, six passengers died on the spot as a result of the accident.
Rescue 1122 teams from police station Patan, Choki Kero, and Choki Mitha Banda, along with local police personnel, immediately reached the scene and launched a rescue operation with the assistance of local residents.
All bodies were recovered from the site and shifted to the Tehsil Headquarters Hospital Patan. Due to the difficult and mountainous terrain, the rescue operation was completed within three hours.
The deceased have been identified as Suleman Khan son of Mahmood Taj, resident of Gali No. 2, Muzaffarabad, Muhammad Shaban son of Akhtar Mian, resident of Channu, Khanewal, Imran and Danial. Two of the deceased persons have not yet been identified.
