Shimla interchange vital for better connectivity in Abbottabad: Commissioner Hazara

ABBOTTABAD, Sep 04 (APP):Commissioner Hazara Division Shahidullah Khan has said that the proposed Shimla Interchange on the Hazara Motorway will help improve connectivity between Abbottabad and Sherwan Road and facilitate smoother movement for commuters.
He expressed these views while chairing a meeting at his office to review the proposed construction of the Shimla Interchange near Sherwan Road, immediately after the Shimla Hill Tunnel, the first tunnel on the Hazara Motorway.
The meeting was attended by Station Commander, Station Headquarters Abbottabad, General (R) Ayaz Saleem Rana, Additional Deputy Commissioner Abbottabad and Assistant Director of the Khyber Pakhtunkhwa Highway Authority, Abbottabad.
The Commissioner directed the relevant authorities to carefully examine all technical and administrative aspects of the project, particularly the proposed access road linking the interchange with Sherwan Road.
Officials briefed the meeting on the proposed location, need and utility of the interchange, as well as the access road and its connectivity with the existing road network.
