In compliance with National Commission for Human Rights (NCHR)’s action regarding implementation of Senior Citizens Act 2014, the Senior Citizens Facilitation Desk has been inaugurated at “Lady Reading Hospital, the largest MTI hospital of Peshawar.

PESHAWAR, Oct 16 (APP): In compliance with National Commission for Human Rights (NCHR)’s action regarding implementation of Senior Citizens Act 2014, the Senior Citizens Facilitation Desk has been inaugurated at “Lady Reading Hospital, the largest MTI hospital of Peshawar.

According to a press release issued here on Friday, on request of Blue Veins, NCHR took up the matter with Health Department and the desk is now functional to ensure dignity, accessibility and priority care for senior citizens.

The inauguration was held with LRH administration with support from Blue Veins with community members.

This is a major step towards rights-based, dignified healthcare for older persons.
