RTS Commission calls for digitalisation, real-time monitoring of public services
PESHAWAR, Sep 22 (APP):Right to Public Services (RTS) Commission Khyber Pakhtunkhwa has called for accelerating the digitalisation of public services and strengthening real-time monitoring to ensure timely and effective service delivery to citizens.
Commissioner RTS Shaukat Ali Yousafzai chaired a meeting with representatives of the Board of Intermediate and Secondary Education Abbottabad and Board of Revenue to discuss the digitalisation of notified services under the Right to Public Services Act, said a press release.
BISE Abbottabad Chairman Inayatullah Waseem also attended the meeting.
The meeting reviewed plans to integrate notified public services with the Dastak App to enable real-time monitoring of service delivery and help ensure that citizens receive services within the prescribed time.
Shaukat Ali Yousafzai said effective use of digital technology would improve transparency, efficiency and accountability in public service delivery and help ensure timely provision of services to citizens.
He directed the concerned departments to maintain close coordination with the commission and expedite the digitalisation of notified services and their integration with the Dastak App.
The commissioner said an effective digital monitoring mechanism would help identify delays and bottlenecks in service delivery in real time, enabling timely corrective measures and further strengthening citizens’ right to quality public services within the stipulated timeframe.
