PESHAWAR, Apr 01 (APP):The Provincial Election Commission (PEC) said on Wednesday that authorities have started reviewing public objections to the proposed boundaries of village councils and cantonment board wards across 23 districts of the province.
An official release of PEC said here that Regional Election Commissioners, acting as delimitation authorities, are examining these objections to ensure fair and accurate division of local areas for administrative and electoral purposes.
A total of 158 objections were received regarding village council boundaries, while 28 objections were filed about ward limits in 11 cantonment boards.
The review process aims to address public concerns and make necessary adjustments before finalizing the boundaries, which are important for local governance and future elections.
