PESHAWAR, Apr 04 (APP): Spokesman of Peshawar Electricity Company here Saturday said that intermittent rainfall across the PESCO region has caused disruptions to electricity supply, prompting field staff to work arpund the clock to restore power.
The spokesperson said that power has been restored to 110 feeders since yesterday. However, continued rainfall led to outages on an additional 65 feeders.
PESCO field teams are actively engaged day and night in restoration work. Chief Executive Akhtar Hameed Khan remains in constant contact with operational teams and has directed them to expedite efforts to fully restore electricity.
Where feasible, electricity has been rerouted through alternative lines to maintain supply. Field staff have also been provided with extra transformers, wires, and other essential equipment to support restoration operations.
The spokesperson added that electricity is being supplied as normal to all other feeders.
Meanwhile, field staff have been instructed to strictly follow safety protocols and have been equipped with safety kits.
Consumers are advised to report power outages by calling 118, the PESCO helpline.
