Rescue 1122’s timely response, more than 300 affected people shifted to safe places in Swabi

PESHAWAR, Aug 20 (APP): Rescue 1122 Swabi responded promptly to heavy rain in Swabi district causing flash floods and landslides in various areas of Tehsil Razar.

According to a press release issued here on Thursday, heavy rains caused flash floods and landslides in various areas of Tehsil Razar, Swabi district, to which teams of Rescue 1122 Swabi responded promptly and started relief operations.

In Khamza Dher, Mansabdar, Managai, Tarakai, Landi Cham, Qamargai and Dhandoqa, Rescue 1122 teams evacuated more than 300 affected people, including children, women and the elderly, from their homes and shifted them to safe places with the help of boats and life jackets.

The rescue operation was supervised by District Emergency Officer Swabi, Owais Babar and Emergency Officer Swabi Noman Khan, while station house in-charges and rescue personnel were also present in the rescue operations.

According to Rescue 1122 Swabi, rescue activities continued to protect the lives and property of citizens during heavy rain and flooding, and teams remained alert in the affected areas.
