PESHAWAR, Sep 14 (APP):Rescue 1122 Malakand responded to 74 emergencies and provided rescue and medical assistance to 73 people from September 7 to 13, according to its weekly performance report.
The report, issued under the supervision of District Emergency Officer Nasir Khan, said the emergencies included 65 medical cases, four road traffic accidents, one fire incident and one recovery operation.
Rescue 1122 ambulances shifted 45 patients to hospitals, including 22 within the district and 23 referred to hospitals outside the district.
The control room received 2,175 calls during the week, including 801 information calls and 1,400 fake, prank or irrelevant calls.
Meanwhile, District Emergency Officer Nasir Khan conducted a surprise inspection of Rescue 1122 Station 22 Dargai on Monday and reviewed staff attendance, cleanliness, ambulances, rescue vehicles and equipment.
He directed the staff to maintain cleanliness and ensure proper upkeep of vehicles and equipment.
He also reviewed the station’s overall performance, emergency response and administrative matters, and instructed personnel to remain alert to provide timely and effective rescue and medical services to the public.
