MALAKAND, Sep 01 (APP):Rescue 1122 Malakand responded to 398 emergencies during August 2026 and rescued 383 people, according to the monthly performance report issued by Control Room In-charge Muhammad Fayyaz Khan.
The report, issued under the supervision of District Emergency Officer Nasir Khan, said that the emergencies included 307 medical cases, 54 road traffic accidents, 19 recovery operations, nine incidents of firing and violence, four drowning incidents, three fire emergencies, one building collapse and one blast.
Under the referral hospital ambulance service, 74 patients were shifted to hospitals within the district while 115 were transported outside the district. In total, 189 patients were transferred to hospitals during the month.
The Rescue 1122 control room received 10,529 calls in August, including 3,347 information calls and 6,784 fake or irrelevant calls.
Meanwhile, the Training Wing conducted training programmes and awareness sessions at various schools, colleges and private institutions.
Participants were given practical training in first aid, fire safety and handling emergency situations.
