DERA ISMAIL KHAN, Jul 20 (APP):Rescue 1122 Lakki Marwat responded to 145 emergencies during the past week, providing timely rescue and medical services across the district under the leadership of District Emergency Officer Bilal Afridi.
According to the weekly performance report, issued on the directives of Director General Rescue 1122 Khyber Pakhtunkhwa Shah Fahad and Director Operations South Region Muhammad Arif Khattak, the emergency service received a total of 2,844 calls during the reporting period.
Of these, 1,399 were fake or unnecessary calls, while 1,300 were information-related inquiries.
The report revealed that Rescue 1122 responded to 122 medical emergencies, 12 road traffic accidents, four incidents involving fights and gunshot injuries, and one fire incident.
During these operations, rescue teams safely shifted 146 patients to hospitals and provided emergency medical treatment at the scene wherever required.
The emergency service also remained active through its referral network, responding to 40 referral emergencies during the week.
Among these, six patients were transferred within Lakki Marwat district, while 34 patients were shifted to hospitals in other districts.
In total, 41 patients benefited from the Rescue 1122 referral service.
