MALAKAND, Jul 1 (APP): The Rescue 1122 responded to 418 emergencies across the district during June 2026, rescuing 360 people, according to the district’s monthly performance report released on Wednesday.
The report said the operations were carried out under the supervision of District Emergency Officer, Nasir Khan.
Control Room In-charge Fayyaz Khan said the incidents included 274 medical emergencies, 60 road traffic accidents, 49 fire incidents, 13 cases involving shootings and violence, four drowning incidents, one cooker explosion and 17 other emergency operations.
A total of 13 people died in the reported incidents.
The report also said Rescue 1122’s referral service transferred 155 patients to healthcare facilities during the month.
The emergency control room received 10,657 calls in June, of which 7,053 were identified as false.
The Rescue 1122 training wing also conducted first aid, CPR and fire safety awareness sessions at schools, colleges and other institutions during the month.
The service urged the public to dial the 1122 emergency helpline only in genuine emergencies.
