PTCL lineman electrocuted in Charsadda

PESHAWAR, Jun 03 (APP): A workplace incident claimed the life of a PTCL fiber-optic lineman in Charsadda district on Wednesday.

Police said, the incident occurred near the PTCL office on Nowshera Road while the lineman was performing maintenance work on a fiber-optic line.

During the operation, he reportedly came into contact with an 11,000-volt power line and suffered a severe electric shock.

The victim fell from the pole after being electrocuted and died as a result of his injuries. He was identified as Salman, a resident of Parich Khel, Utmanzai.

Following the incident, local residents and authorities reached the scene. An investigation has been launched to determine the exact circumstances and causes of the accident, while legal and administrative procedures are underway.
