PESHAWAR, Jun 08 (APP): The Peshawar High Court (PHC) has imposed a ban on the use of smartphones by district judiciary staff during official duty hours.
According to an official notification on Monday, judicial employees will be required to deposit their mobile phones with the relevant branch head or officer-in-charge while on duty.
The notification stated that the measure aims at improving discipline, concentration and professionalism within court offices, ensuring that official responsibilities are carried out without unnecessary distractions or interruptions.
Under the directives issued by the Peshawar High Court, the policy will apply to district judiciary staff and officers have been instructed to ensure its strict implementation.
Officials said the decision is intended to enhance the efficiency and organization of court proceedings and administrative operations.
