Peshawar police personnel honoured for outstanding Muharram security duties

Police officers and personnel who demonstrated exceptional performance during the security arrangements for Muharram-ul-Haram 2026 were awarded cash prizes and commendation certificates at a ceremony held here at Malik Saad Shaheed Police Lines on Thursday.

PESHAWAR, Jul 02 (APP): Police officers and personnel who demonstrated exceptional performance during the security arrangements for Muharram-ul-Haram 2026 were awarded cash prizes and commendation certificates at a ceremony held here at Malik Saad Shaheed Police Lines on Thursday.
According to the Capital City Police Peshawar spokesperson, the ceremony was chaired by Capital City Police Officer (CCPO) Dr. Mian Syed Ahmed and attended by Senior Superintendent of Police (SSP) Operations Farhan Khan, SSP Investigation Ayesha Gul, Superintendent of Police (SP) Headquarters Ali Gohar, SP City Shahid Adnan and ASP Hamza Ayub.
Speaking on the occasion, the CCPO praised Station House Officers, additional Station House Officers, checkpost in-charges, station clerks and other police officials for ensuring exemplary security arrangements, maintaining law and order and safeguarding the lives and property of citizens during Muharram.
Dr. Mian Syed Ahmed said police personnel, including women officers, performed their duties with dedication, professionalism and a strong sense of responsibility despite intense heat and challenging conditions, helping maintain peace throughout the observance of Muharram and strengthening public confidence in the police.
He said that officers and personnel delivering outstanding performance would continue to be recognised and rewarded to boost the morale of the force and encourage them to serve the public with greater commitment and professionalism.
