He said a special campaign is underway to curb electricity theft and recover outstanding dues, emphasizing that PESCO is a national asset that must be protected.
Sharing details of the campaign’s progress, he stated that during March 2026, the Mandhran Sub-Division recovered Rs 3.458 million from dead defaulters. Additionally, 13 electricity transformers were disconnected due to non-payment of dues.
He further revealed that letters have been sent to Cantt and Shorkot police stations for the registration of cases against 17 individuals involved in electricity theft.

He made it clear that strict legal action will be taken against consumers who fail to clear their dues, including disconnection of power supply.
Appealing to the public, he urged consumers to act responsibly by paying their electricity bills on time and avoiding illegal connections, so that the power distribution system can be improved.
He added that PESCO teams are conducting daily inspections in different areas, and immediate action is being taken wherever electricity theft or non-payment of dues is detected. The campaign, he said, aims not only to improve recovery but also to ensure uninterrupted electricity supply to consumers.
