PESHAWAR, Apr 08 (APP):Awami National Party’s Central President Senator Aimal Wali Khan here Wednesday commended the efforts of Pakistan for restoration of peace in the Middle East.
In a statement, he said that Pakistan’s efforts to establish lasting peace in the region are highly commendable.
Regarding the US-Iran ceasefire, he said that Pakistan’s role in entire situation has been highly positive and responsible, which is a welcome development for promoting peace in the region.
He emphasized that from the beginning, our clear stance has been that war is not a lasting solution to any problem.
However, the recent tensions and the effects of war have directly impacted ordinary people, particularly the poor and underprivileged.
Rising fuel prices, increasing inflation, and the higher cost of basic necessities have made life even more difficult for the public, he reiterated.
He appealed to the Prime Minister of Pakistan to take immediate, practical, and effective measures to mitigate these economic effects, so that real relief can reach the people and their daily lives can be made easier.
He further said that Pakistan has proved that if we work with sincerity, there is no limit to what we can achieve.
He extended heartfelt congratulations to Prime Minister Muhammad Shehbaz Sharif, Deputy Prime Minister Muhammad Ishaq Dar, and Field Marshal Syed Asim Munir for their gre6st efforts toward peace in the region.
“Now, with the same sincerity and diligence, work should be done to establish peace within the country in general and in Khyber Pakhtunkhwa in particular, as well as to promote economic development, he said.”
He said only if we are strong from within can we truly secure our place among the nations of the world.
