DERA ISMAIL KHAN, Sep 07 (APP):Paharpur police arrested a suspected drug offender during snap checking and recovered a pistol and a quantity of hashish from his possession here on Monday.
According to police spokesman, Station House Officer(SHO) Paharpur Cadet Zafar Abbas, along with a police team, conducted snap checking in the area under the supervision of SP Paharpur Division Iqbal Khan Baloch and the leadership of DSP Paharpur Parvez Shah.
During the checking, police arrested Kamran alias Kamri, son of Muhammad Ramzan, resident of Wanda Narkani.
The police recovered one 30-bore pistol and 1,179 grams of hashish from his possession.
A case has been registered against the accused under the relevant laws, and he has been taken into custody.
Further investigation is underway and DSP Paharpur said that indiscriminate operations against drugs and criminal activities would continue across the area.
