PESHAWAR, Jul 01 (APP):Commissioner Peshawar Division, Riaz Khan Mehsud here Wednesday chaired a meeting to discuss renovation and illumination of historic Islamia College Peshawar that is expected to be completed in next week.
The meeting was attended by Deputy Commissioner Peshawar, Vice Chancellor of Islamia College Peshawar University, Deputy Director of Peshawar Uplift Program, Deputy Director of the Peshawar Development Authority and other relevant officials.
Chairing the meeting, commissioner said that completion of the renovation and modern illumination project would significantly enhance architectural beauty of the historic institution and make it an even more attractive destination for visitors and tourists from across the country.
He reaffirmed the administration’s commitment to preserving historical significance, cultural heritage and architectural legacy of Islamia College Peshawar. He added that further initiatives would be undertaken in the future to safeguard and restore this national heritage site ensuring that its original grandeur is preserved.
