Meeting discuss measures to stop smuggling of food items

KOHAT, Jun 30 (APP):Deputy Commissioner Kohat, Muhammad Nawaz here Tuesday chaired a meeting to decide measures and beef up security to stop smuggling of food items.

The meeting was attended by District Police Officer Kohat, officials of food, excise and agriculture department.

During meeting, Deputy Commissioner directed concerned officers to remain vigilant at joint check posts and monitor movement of food items, other goods, and unregistered vehicles.

The Deputy Commissioner emphasized that such inspections would safeguard consumer rights, maintain price stability and address issues of overpricing and shortage in markets of the district.
