Kunhar Sharif bridge to be milestone for Torghar’s development : Commissioner

TORGHAR, Aug 7 (APP):Commissioner, Hazara Division, Shahidullah Khan on Friday inspected construction work on the Kunhar Sharif bridge being built over the River, Indus describing the project as a major step toward the development of the district.
Accompanied by Deputy Commissioner, Torghar, Dr. Yasir Imran and officials from the Khyber Pakhtunkhwa Highway Authority, the commissioner reviewed progress on the bridge, which is being constructed at an estimated cost Rs 10 billion .
Shahidullah Khan said the bridge would serve as a “game changer” for the district by improving trade, tourism and transportation links, adding that the bridge’s completion would significantly enhance regional connectivity and economic activity.
He said the provincial government remained committed to completing the project at the earliest possible date.
During the visit, the commissioner directed the deputy commissioner to conduct weekly inspections of the construction work and instructed authorities to ensure round-the-clock work at the site to accelerate progress.
He also said the Khyber Pakhtunkhwa government would ensure uninterrupted funding for the project until its completion.
