PESHAWAR, Aug 06 (APP):Khyber Pakhtunkhwa Minister for Law and Parliamentary Affairs Aftab Alam on Thursday directed the authorities concerned to accelerate work on a flood protection wall in the flood-affected Paya Jawaki area of Dara Adam Khel.
He emphasized that the project must be completed within the stipulated timeframe without compromising construction quality.
During a visit to the under-construction flood protection wall in Khanawat, Shah Khel, the minister was briefed on the pace of work, engineering standards and safety arrangements.
He said the project was vital for safeguarding local residents, farmland and public infrastructure from recurring flood threats and instructed officials to ensure timely completion through effective monitoring.
Later, the minister visited the family of a mother and daughter who lost their lives in a recent flash flood in Paya Jawaki.
He offered condolences, prayed for the departed souls and expressed solidarity with the bereaved family.
Aftab Alam assured the affected family that the provincial government would continue extending all possible support for the rehabilitation of flood-hit communities and the execution of flood mitigation projects, reaffirming its commitment to standing with the victims during the recovery process.
