KP govt taking steps to strengthen primary, secondary healthcare

Khyber Pakhtunkhwa Health Minister, Khaliq ur Rehman on Tuesday said the provincial government is taking comprehensive measures to strengthen primary and secondary healthcare facilities across the province.

PESHAWAR, Mar 24 (APP): Khyber Pakhtunkhwa Health Minister, Khaliq ur Rehman on Tuesday said the provincial government is taking comprehensive measures to strengthen primary and secondary healthcare facilities across the province.
In a statement, he said steps were being taken to address shortages of doctors, nurses and paramedical staff on an emergency basis to ensure timely and quality medical services for the public at nearby health centres.
The minister said the government was implementing a complete system under a new health policy aimed at improving basic healthcare infrastructure.
He added that modern medical equipment was being provided and monitoring mechanisms are being strengthened to enhance service delivery.
Khaliq ur Rehman said the reforms would ensure better, accessible and reliable healthcare facilities for the people, enabling them to receive quality treatment without unnecessary delays.
He reiterated the government’s commitment to improving the health sector and ensuring that citizens benefit from upgraded healthcare services across the province.
