The Khyber Pakhtunkhwa government has decided to revive model schools and model institutes across the province in an effort to strengthen the education sector and improve academic standards.

PESHAWAR, Mar 12 (APP): The Khyber Pakhtunkhwa government has decided to revive model schools and model institutes across the province in an effort to strengthen the education sector and improve academic standards.
The decision was taken during an important meeting of the Elementary and Secondary Education Department, chaired by Chief Minister Muhammad Sohail Afridi.
The meeting approved the revival of existing model schools and institutes and formed a special working group under the leadership of the provincial minister for elementary and secondary education to review the issues faced by these institutions.
The working group will examine key challenges, including a shortage of faculty, human resource issues, infrastructure gaps and other administrative problems. It will present a comprehensive report with recommendations aimed at restoring the institutions as quality educational centers.
The meeting also directed the authorities to establish new model schools and model institutes in Haripur and Khyber districts.
Speaking on the occasion, the chief minister said the government would restore the past excellence of model institutes and transform them once again into exemplary educational institutions.
He added that the government would introduce reforms in line with modern educational requirements and ensure the provision of necessary resources to strengthen educational institutions across the province.
