KP govt allocates funds for women, youth , minorities

PESHAWAR, Jun 29 (APP): The Khyber Pakhtunkhwa Budget 2026–27 includes a range of initiatives aimed at promoting inclusive development, social protection, and equal opportunities for all sections of society.
According to the budget details, Rs. 100 million has been allocated for gender and transgender inclusion initiatives to promote equal opportunities, inclusion, and protection for all segments of society.
The provincial government has also earmarked Rs. 100 million for the Minorities Rehabilitation Fund to support the welfare, rehabilitation, and socio-economic uplift of minority communities.
To strengthen women’s financial independence, Rs. 100 million has been allocated for the Women’s Economic Empowerment Fund, which will facilitate business development and employment opportunities for women.
In addition, the budget allocates Rs. 150 million for the Ehsaas Employment Program to create employment and self-employment opportunities for youth, enabling them to participate more effectively in the province’s economic development.
The budget reflects the provincial government’s commitment to inclusive growth by supporting women, youth, minority communities, and other vulnerable groups through targeted welfare and empowerment initiatives.
