KP Commission on status of women constitutes CSO’s Advisory Forum

The Khyber Pakhtunkhwa Commission on the Status of Women (KPCSW) has constituted Advisory Forum of Civil Society Organizations (CSOs) with the objective of identifying key issues and challenges faced by women in KP.

PESHAWAR, Aug 07 (APP): The Khyber Pakhtunkhwa Commission on the Status of Women (KPCSW) has constituted Advisory Forum of Civil Society Organizations (CSOs) with the objective of identifying key issues and challenges faced by women in KP.
According to notification issued here, the CSO’s Advisory Forum will be headed by Dr. Sumera Shams, Chairperson KPCSW.
The forum will have members from different CSOs working in Khyber Pakhtunkhwa on gender equality and women rights.
The CSO’s Advisory Forum will assist KPCSW on policies, programme and strategies related to women empowerment.
It will extend technical and financial support in conducting research studies and assessments on women issues besides identifying opportunities for joint initiatives and resource mobilization.
The forum will meet quarterly or as required by KPCSW and will submit period report on progress and recommendations.
The CSO’s Advisory Forum tenure will be for three years, subject to renew and renewal, the notification added.
