KP Assembly session postponed again amid political uncertainty

The session of the Khyber Pakhtunkhwa Assembly has once again been postponed on Monday, indicating political uncertainty in the province.

PESHAWAR, Jun 08 (APP):The session of the Khyber Pakhtunkhwa Assembly has once again been postponed on Monday, indicating political uncertainty in the province.
The assembly session, which was scheduled to convene at 2:00 p.m. on June 8, has now been deferred until June 15 at 2:00 p.m. on the orders of the Speaker.
The Speaker of the Khyber Pakhtunkhwa Assembly exercised his constitutional and procedural authority to postpone the session. The Assembly Secretariat has formally issued a notification confirming the decision and informing all members about the new date.
This is not the first postponement of the assembly session. Earlier, a session scheduled for June 1 was postponed on the night of May 31 and rescheduled for June 8. Now, the June 8 session has also been delayed, pushing the next sitting to June 15.
The repeated postponements have sparked concern and speculation among political observers and lawmakers regarding the reasons behind the delays.
According to sources, some dissatisfied members of the provincial assembly were expected to make important political announcements or adopt a significant stance during the assembly proceedings. The continued postponements have fueled speculation that these anticipated developments may be linked to the delays.
However, no official confirmation has been provided regarding such claims.
The political situation in Khyber Pakhtunkhwa remains tense, with observers closely watching for further developments ahead of the rescheduled assembly session on June 15.
