PESHAWAR, Oct 27 (APP):Khyber Pakhtunkhwa Adviser for Auqaf Maulana Tayyab Qureshi, along with leaders of the Sikh and Christian communities, on Tuesday expressed solidarity with the people of Indian Illegally Occupied Jammu and Kashmir (IIOJK), reaffirming Pakistan’s continued political and moral support for their struggle for freedom.
Maulana Tayyab Qureshi said the Pakistani nation and government stood firmly with the Kashmiri people in their struggle for their fundamental rights and freedom.
He said India occupied Kashmir on October 27, 1947, depriving its people of their fundamental rights and freedoms.
The adviser paid tribute to the people of occupied Kashmir for their sacrifices and said they continued to resist Indian rule with determination despite decades of hardship.
He called on the United Nations and international organisations to take notice of human rights violations in occupied Kashmir and play their role in protecting the rights of its people.
Maulana Tayyab Qureshi reaffirmed that Pakistan would continue to extend moral and political support to the Kashmiri people until they achieved their right to freedom.
