Khyber police directed to expedite action against criminals
PESHAWAR, Sep 29 (APP):Acting District Police Officer (DPO) Khyber Shafiq Khan on Tuesday chaired a crime meeting, which was attended by DSP Headquarters, all Circle DSPs and SHOs.
The meeting reviewed various important matters, including timely registration of FIRs, redressal of complainants’ grievances, attendance of police personnel, making security arrangements more effective, checkpoints, action against criminal elements, legal action against unregistered motorcycles, and measures regarding illegally residing foreigners.
The acting DPO directed the officers to ensure the presence of staff at police stations and checkpoints at all costs, and to further improve effective checkpoints and patrolling for the prevention of crime.
He instructed them to accelerate indiscriminate operations against criminal elements, ensure effective checking of unregistered motorcycles, and take action in accordance with legal requirements.
He also directed to ensure action against illegally residing foreigners in accordance with law and procedure, and to pay special attention to the immediate redressal of complainants’ grievances and timely registration of FIRs.
Shafiq Khan said all officers should ensure effective measures for maintaining peace and order, preventing crime and protecting the life and property of the people in their respective areas.
