Information department gives briefing to Samar Haroon Bilour
PESHAWAR, Oct 13 (APP):Advisor to the Governor of Khyber Pakhtunkhwa for Information and Public Relations, Samar Haroon Bilour, was given a detailed briefing by the Information Department on its performance, ongoing initiatives, and future strategy.
The briefing focused on the department’s role in effectively disseminating information and highlighting government initiatives to the public.
Speaking on the occasion, Advisor Information Samar Haroon Bilour stated that the performance of the Information Department in crisis situations is commendable. She directed the authorities to prepare a comprehensive 90-day action plan to enhance the capacity of the Information Department and improve its overall performance.
She further instructed that immediate steps be taken to activate the FM Radio Network on an emergency basis, emphasizing its critical role in reaching the public, particularly in remote areas of the province. She also directed that the Information Cell be fully activated to ensure the timely delivery of authentic information to the public.
Samar Haroon Bilour underlined that the Information Department should play an effective role in promoting peace and sustainable stability in Khyber Pakhtunkhwa. She also called for accelerated steps for the welfare of journalists in the province and the resolution of their issues.
The Advisor stressed that transparency, effective service delivery, and the improvement of public facilities in the Information Department must be ensured at all levels.
The briefing was attended by Secretary Information Dr. Muhammad Bakhtiar, Director General Information Muhammad Ansarullah, and other officials of the Information Department.
