ISLAMABAD, Jul 21 (APP):Pakistan Peoples Party (PPP) Central Secretary General, Muhammad Humayun Khan on Tuesday expressed profound grief and sorrow over the loss of precious human lives caused by torrential rains in Khyber Pakhtunkhwa.
In a statement, he extended heartfelt condolences to the bereaved families and prayed for the eternal peace of those who lost their lives.
He also wished a speedy recovery for the injured and prayed that the affected families be granted strength and patience to bear their loss.
Humayun Khan said that the increasing risks posed by climate change underscored the urgent need for comprehensive planning and effective preventive measures to minimize the impact of natural disasters.
He urged the federal and provincial governments, along with all relevant institutions, to ensure the immediate provision of relief, safe shelter, and essential services to the affected people.
The PPP leader also called for an immediate assessment of the damages and stressed the need to expedite rehabilitation and relief operations in the affected areas.
Reaffirming the party’s commitment to the victims, Humayun Khan said the Pakistan Peoples Party stood firmly with the affected families in this difficult time and would continue to extend every possible support and assistance.
