Governor lauds CTD operation against militants in Lakki Marwat

PESHAWAR, Mar 14 (APP):Governor Khyber Pakhtunkhwa Faisal Karim Kundi on Saturday praised the Counter Terrorism Department (CTD) for a successful operation against militants in Lakki Marwat.

The Governor commended the security forces for eliminating six terrorists belonging to “Fitna-al-Khawarij,” allegedly backed by India. He paid tribute to the security personnel for their courage and professionalism in carrying out the operation.

Governor Kundi said the timely and effective action by the CTD was commendable as it led to the elimination of dangerous militants. He added that the people of the province salute the sacrifices and services of the security forces.

He said elements of Fitna-al-Khawarij were enemies of the country and the nation, and operations against them were essential for the restoration of peace.

The Governor further said that the security forces and law enforcement agencies of Khyber Pakhtunkhwa were performing their duties with bravery and professionalism to eradicate terrorism.

He added that the entire nation stood shoulder to shoulder with the security institutions to uproot the menace of terrorism. Successful operations like these, he said, were encouraging for ensuring peace in the province and protecting the lives and property of the people.

The Governor reaffirmed that efforts would continue until terrorism was completely eliminated.
