Governor Kundi lauds “Mashal-e-Aman” initiative, assures support for youth development

PESHAWAR, Apr 29 (APP):A delegation of the group initiative “Mashal-e-Aman” called on Governor Khyber Pakhtunkhwa Faisal Karim Kundi at the Governor House on Wednesday.

The delegation was led by Usman Ashraf and included Fayaz Afridi, Dr Sani, Dr Ahmad, Waqar Khan, Sidra Khan, Farwa Aqeel, and senior programme manager of the nationwide youth organisation Bargad, Saiqa Rani, along with other young members.

During the meeting, the delegation briefed the Governor on the objectives of the “Mashal-e-Aman” project, which focuses on promoting civic education, inclusion, and resilience among the youth of Khyber Pakhtunkhwa.

Speaking on the occasion, Faisal Karim Kundi appreciated the initiative and said that youth are a valuable asset of any society and their positive guidance is the need of the time.

He said that Governor House has always encouraged such initiatives under its youth engagement and women empowerment agenda, adding that such programmes play a vital role in steering young people away from extremism and towards constructive activities.

The Governor assured the delegation of continued support for the welfare, education, and capacity building of youth in the province.

Meanwhile, Governor has said that young people actively engaged in volunteer work are a valuable asset, adding that serving humanity is a shared responsibility.

He expressed these views while addressing a delegation arranged Iftar dinner at Governor House in the holy month of Ramadan in honour of children with disabilities.

The Governor said that youth are the backbone of the nation and emphasized the need for their positive engagement in constructive activities.

He said that Pakistan Peoples Party Chairman Bilawal Bhutto Zardari represents dynamic and youth-oriented leadership, urging young people to support such leadership and play their role in the development of the country and province.

He also appreciated the role of the Pakistan Youth Parliament in promoting youth engagement and leadership.

On the occasion, President of Pakistan Youth Parliament, Abu Bakar, thanked Governor Kundi for his support and termed his agenda of women empowerment and youth engagement as commendable.
