PESHAWAR, Apr 21 (APP):Governor Khyber Pakhtunkhwa Faisal Karim Kundi on Monday congratulated the armed forces, scientists and the entire nation on the successful live weapon firing of Taimoor Air-Launched Cruise Missile, an indigenously developed anti-ship weapon system.
The Governor said the successful test was a clear manifestation of Pakistan’s advanced and precise defence capabilities. He remarked that the programme initiated by Shaheed Zulfiqar Ali Bhutto had reached new heights due to the expertise and dedication of Pakistani scientists and engineers, bringing pride to the nation.
He said Pakistan had always believed in pursuing peaceful objectives while strengthening its defence.
He reiterated that the country’s defence was in strong hands and any aggression would be responded to with full force.
Kundi further said that indigenous development of the missile marked an important milestone towards self-reliance in the defence industry, which would further enhance the country’s defence autonomy.
He added that the people of Khyber Pakhtunkhwa stood shoulder to shoulder with the armed forces for the security and sovereignty of the country and would remain united in safeguarding national defence in all circumstances.
