Governor assures support for aquaculture promotion
PESHAWAR, Jun 05 (APP): Governor Khyber Pakhtunkhwa, Faisal Karim Kundi held meeting with a delegation led by Chairman Aqua Tech Fisheries, Ahmed Hussain, at Governor House here on Friday.
The delegation briefed the Governor on their ongoing activities in the fisheries sector and highlighted key challenges affecting aquaculture development in the province.
They also discussed various initiatives aimed at promoting sustainable fish farming and expanding aquaculture investment opportunities across Khyber Pakhtunkhwa.
During the meeting, the delegation sought the Governor’s support in facilitating engagement with relevant stakeholders to strengthen the fisheries sector.
Governor Kundi appreciated the efforts of Aqua Tech Fisheries, saying that the growth of aquaculture is vital for food security, employment generation, and rural economic development in the province.
He assured the delegation of his full support and said that he would take up the matter with the relevant authorities to help address their concerns and promote a conducive environment for fisheries farming.
The delegation thanked the Governor for his accessibility and his continued encouragement of private sector initiatives contributing to the economic development of Khyber Pakhtunkhwa.
